DAY 213

A lovely view of a building near the river-front in Pittsburgh. I thought his picture looked better in black and white. It is still an HDR image.

DAY 210

DAY 209

This is a photo of Pittsburgh, PA. I took the photo the day I went to the AFC Divisional Round Playoff game between the Steelers and Raven. I came into Pittsburgh early so I had some time to walk around. While there I took many bracketed shots for HDR editing. Most were of the bridges and city, but this particular shot, I saw a cropping of sky-scrapers and decided to frame them together. Oh my did it turn out! I love the reflection of some of the buildings against the glass windows on other buildings. Currently, this photo is my Desktop background. I might even print this photo some odd day and enter it into an art contest.

DAY 206

Day 32? In January? I know, and it's only the 11th. But I need to catch up. It seems I'm a half-year behind on this photo-a-day for a year thingy.

This photo is an HDR image of an old oil well on the Whitehall Camp and Conference property.

DAY 205

At work on January 4th, I learned that one of my co-workers passed away. The whole week was depressing. Tim Weaver was a good co-worker, he was always happy and quick to share about his beloved twin Grandsons. He trained me my first day at Mike's Supermarket. That Friday, we held a candle luminary in remembrance of Tim.

DAY 201

On December 28th, Rick Kohl and I headed up to Whitehall Camp and Conference Center so I could show him how Western Pennsylvania does Camp. While there, I took many HDR photos. This photos is of Rick at the crossing bridge near Kerry Lake

DAY 200

The Church is located in Emleton, PA. I took this shot on the first day Rick Kohl joined me in Pennsylvania for a winter break. As soon as he arrived from Ohio, I took him to Whitehall Camp. We took many pictures, most of the HDR from this month are with him.

This shot was taken on an over-cast day. I never thought we'd get a ray of sun, but as we left Whitehall and headed into town, we caught a little sunset. This beautiful old church caught my eye and man did it show up in the HDR; such vivid color offset by slight hints of orange skies. Amazing. I hope to print this shot someday and enter it in a contest!

DAY 199

The Pittsburgh Science Center. This photo was taken while Rick Kohl was in town. We decided to take a day trip to Pittsburgh and check out the Winter Classic Festivities. While we were there we checked out the Omimax theater in the science center.

This photo was the last one in a 6-bracket shot. I had to raise the shutter to 500 to achieve the silhouette effect and maintain the night's sunset.

DAY 198

This is Pittsburgh at nighttime, I am not sure of the exposure, but it was a long one, 30seconds most likely.
