DAY 8

Heidi Hepler (and Jake Henry) during the Summer Ministry Team's Christmas Party at Whitehall Camp and Conference Center (Dec 2009). I added a motion blur to the image while keeping Heidi and Jake's face intact. I also added a vignette
to the image, drawing the eyes to the two subjects of the photo.

I also noticed that both Heidi and Jake had some red-eye from the flash, which I color corrected.

DAY 3

This is one little image I created to be a little abstract with the Nativity. I first created a gradient behind the scene based on a TV show recap I saw. It was grey on top and on the bottom was a slight black-red-orange-red-black gradient going on. I then created the stable. I didn't want it to fully stand out so I knocked the opacity down to 70% and used a wood grain photo-shop brush to create the wood look and feel. Next I added a layer behind the stable and created the black swirls. Then I went a layer ahead of the stable and created Marry and Joseph. Marry holding the baby Jesus. I merged the Marry and Joseph together and put a slight lens flair to their layer. Next I created the stars (two layers). The second layer I added a rainbow gradient so the stars would have a rainbow glow to them. I then created the text. I believe the font is "28 Days Later." I added black, grey, and white clouds over the text. I added an outline to the text in gradient (black-white-dark blue). Finally I added the light strokes and erased the parts I wanted to look like it wrapped around the people and text.

DAY 2

Luke 2:8-11 (NLT)
" 8 That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. 9 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, 10 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! "

Could you imagine what it would have been like to see the angel of the Lord?

DAY 1

This one is called "Avatar: Mekka" The story goes that one day Mekka Dusch, a friend of mine from Brookville, PA, uploaded an extremely white-washed webcam photo of herself on Facebook. Being the ever addicted person I am to Facebook, I saw her photo on my News Feed and commented to the effect of: "You look like a vampire." The conversation went back and forth between me and her to the point where I volunteered to make her look like a vampire. So, I made her into a Twilight-ish vampire and posted it. Seeing how easy it was, the next day I did the same photo as the Joker from Batman, and finally, this photo.

Does she look like James Cameron's new film "Avatar" ???
